fuk.co.uk headlines are published in the popular syndication format known as RSS (Rich Site Summary). This file format was developed to allow content sites to share material and is based on XML (Extensible Markup Language). The RSS file is kept on our web server and update whenever new content is published. Your content management system can check the file and read in any new content. Many content management systems support this format 'out of the box'. If you do not have a content management system you can easily write a script in Perl or your favourite scripting language to parse the RSS file and embed the content in your web page. There are several pre-written Perl modules available on the CPAN archive for handling RSS files.
