Avatars are nothing new on the web, sites like Cycosmos have offered the opportunity to create virtual versions of ourselves for a couple of years now. So it's surprising that it's taken so long for virtual models to become our online shopping pals. Visit My Virtual Model and within a few minutes you can create a virtual self which can try on clothes in certain web shops. The selection of shops is still quite limited (Lands End and Lane Bryant are hardly inspiring) but from this week Maxim magazine's shop is selling Adidas and Nautica ranges all of which your virtual model can try on.
