Knit oneKnitting is not just a cool hobby, it's also a useful skill to acquire. If you need inspiration and guidance, then head to the Knitting and Stitching Exhibition 2001 kicking off in London on October 11-14. You'll find everything from the latest hi-tech sewing machines to free ten minute demonstrations. There are over 350 exhibitors covering all aspects of knitting and stitching, a vast textile gallery with hundreds of inspiring examples, representatives from guilds and associations. You can also see Quilt 2001, a juried competition with a £5,000 prize and Creative Generation, a collaborative competition involving children and adults which has had over 300 entries.
