Gianni's documentaryFor top fashion entertainment, set the video to record the BBC documentary, The Killing of Gianni Versace next week. Despite being born in one of Italy's poorest cities, Gianni came to define 80s excess and the nouveau riche look. This programme looks at the events surrounding his murder in Miami in 1997 and includes interviews with fellow designers, journalists and his long-term boyfriend revealing amongst other things, how his personal interest in S&M inspired his designs. The footage of Gianni's muse, sister and eventual successor, Donatella is striking and shows just how much her original, feminine image has changed since her brother's demise.
