Naked truthA new photographic exhibition will focus on the aesthetics of beauty through the medium of nude photography. Eulogy To Beauty opens in September and "asks the viewer to analyse the multi-faceted concept of beauty and the role of photography in exploring the concept." It features work by acclaimed photographers including Robert Mapplethorpe, Helmut Newton and Jock Sturges. The show mixes genres - Frank Horvat's fashion photography appears alongside Mapplethorpe's in-your-face erotica - and attempts to confront the enduring controversy between what qualifies as an erotic image and what's simply pornographic.
