Hodge Awards

Established in memory of photojournalist David Hodge, who died whilst covering the Brixton riots in 1985, The Observer Hodge Award is an opportunity for the UK's most talented, young photographers to reach a wide audience. This year's judges, including actress Patsy Kensit and photographer Corinne Day, chose the best in photojournalism, documentary photography and portraiture and the results will be on show at The Observer Hodge Photographic Awards 2001 exhibition at the Proud Galleries. Last year, Ikuko Tsuchiya scooped the £4,000 first prize for his photos of people living in Botton Village. To find out who won this year check out The Observer this Sunday.
