Truth or ConsequencesA more unusual town name there most likely has never been. Truth or Consequences, a town in New Mexico, changed its name in 1950 to match a celebrated radio quiz show of the time. For the last decade, photographer Nick Waplington has been taking photos in and around Truth or Consequences and the images are laid out in his new book, aptly called Truth or Consequences. The town is apparently unremarkable in every other way apart from its name and Waplington's photos portray the lives of its townsfolk and the landscape while constructing a personal tribute to America.
