Go for ginghamWearing gingham can make you look like a British nationalist or a seaside resort waitress, but as with many previously uncool cloths, this season it's made a comeback. Brit designer Guvinda has used gingham in shades of pink and blue for his spring/summer 2001 collection and despite any reservations you may have about the check (due to its associations with jam-jars and cheese) it's perfect for the 50s look. In particular, keep an eye out for gingham bikinis, shirts with 3/4 length sleeves or flared skirts. |
