Offensive vestsWife Beaters, a controversially named website, is causing an international uproar due to its stock. The Texas-based online clothing store, which plays The Prodigy's Smack My Bitch Up when uploaded, sells a range of highly offensive vests which are emblazoned with the words 'Wife Beater'. The tops are available from baby to adult sizes and even come with optional cigarette burns and blood stains. For obvious reasons, the products are upsetting to some but the site attempts to justify its vests by stating that they're "based on the stereotype that physically abusive husbands wear that particular style of undershirt". |
