Fictional fashionToday, you could meet Peacock Johnson, the character behind Stuart David's new book, The Peacock Manifesto. Glaswegian Johnson wanted to turn Glen Campbell's Rhinestone Cowboy into a dance track. The novel tracks the disasters which doomed this project but turned Peacock into an anti-hero and a fashion icon with his own range of T-shirts for sale on his website. "I wear a white vest to give the tattoo as much exposure as possible, but when it gets cooler I like to wear a good Hawaiian shirt on top. A good vintage one. None of this modern shite." Right on. |
