Designer deathDeath has been in the air of late. Designers including Jessica Ogden and Hussein Chalayan recently created functional funeral objects for an exhibition called Dead and a new aerodynamic Ecopod coffin has just been launched by Hazel Selina (enquiries 01273 746 011). April 8 is the Day of the Dead and for the ninth year running the UK's Natural Death Centre invites us to celebrate. Pop along to their London headquarters for a day of reflection with poetry readings, a display of unusual coffins and a discussion on how to arrange an ecologically sound funeral.
