Get ruchingRuching was popular back in the 70s on the cuffs and neckline of a smock top. But designers have picked up on it again and its making a comeback. At Sophia Kokosalaki's recent London Fashion Week show, claret velvet corsets were ruched to give added texture. In next winter's Yves Saint Laurent collection, designed by Tom Ford, ruching made a major impact - silk blouses and dresses had ruched cuffs, collars, waistbands and hems.
