Wearable wallpaperAfter years of paint dominating interior design, wallpaper has returned to favour and is adorning trendy homes and bodies alike. Classic prints are being preserved and sold as art by smart people who source genuine 60s and 70s wallpaper, plaster it onto a canvas panel and then sell it to collectors. Wallpaper prints are also a big fashion influence at the moment - Antoni & Alison's latest catwalk show included some garish wallpaper-esque printed skirts and on the high street River Island has printed tops that look like they've been ripped from the walls of a traditional pub restaurant last decorated in 1973. |
