Couture onlineIn fashion terms, an era has ended now that Alexander McQueen's replacement at Givenchy is official and Julien Macdonald is expected to show his first collection this July. But fans of McQueen's Givenchy designs should head to eBay where a McQueen designed Givenchy Couture tweed suit with matching coat (originally $8,000) and a tailored pinstripe dress (originally $2,530) are being privately auctioned. Givenchy purists should head to Style.com to bid on a Givenchy Couture silk cloak (market value $1,500) designed between 1980-85 by Monsieur Hubert de Givenchy, the founder of the label. |
