No to nudity

Obviously, the fashion industry would collapse if the nation stopped wearing clothes, but the recent frenzy of nudity censorship could be taking things too far. Last December, Yves Saint Laurent and M&S both had billboards banned by the Advertising Standards Authority because they featured naked women and now The Saatchi Gallery (98a Boundary Road, London NW8, telephone 020 7624 8299) is in trouble over nudity too. The gallery has refused to remove Terry Gearon's photographs from the I Am A Camera exhibition even though the Metropolitan Police has referred Gearon's pictures of her naked children to the Crown Prosecution Service under the Protection of Children Act. The exhibition runs until March 25.
