Numerological artAlthough based on an idea by Leonardo da Vinci, painting by numbers was actually invented in the early 50s by Dan Robbins. The step by step way to create your own masterpieces reached its peak a few years later and today the paintings are exhibited in galleries and traded on auction sites.
