StarstruckWhen Gary Lee Boas was 13, he started taking photographs of celebrities and went on to collect over 50,000 snaps. The publication of his book, Starstruck: Photographs from a Fan (£19, published by Distributed Art Publishers, available from all good bookshops), which featured a selection of his snaps ranging from Hollywood's finest - including Zsa Zsa Gabor, Marlene Dietrich, Sonny and Cher - to US presidents, turned Gary into something of a celebrity himself. His fame is set to be further enhanced when the exhibition Gary Lee Boas: Starstruck arrives at the Photographers' Gallery on April 11 (until May 26). |
