Turning pointsLandmarks of women's progress from the vote to the pill are well documented. But a new series of talks and discussions, Turning Points, at the Barbican will focus on more unusual and controversial topics including Thatchers Impact and Maternal Mortality. Subjects have been chosen by prominent women from the worlds of law, politics, health and history and fashion designer Zandra Rhodes will chat to author Dr Christopher Breward on March 21 (at 6.30pm, enquiries 020 7638 8891). Over 30 years, Zandra has seen many defining fashion moments from platforms to corsets and will discuss how deeply style reflects and inspires. |
