Creative living

The Museum of London's next exhibition Creative Quarters: The Art World in London 1700-2000 explores the relationships between artists and areas of London they inhabit (from March 30 to July 15). The East End is the current hotbed of creativity and has been since the 60s but previous art colonies including Covent Garden, Hampstead, Camden and Soho are also featured. The exhibition will map the life and work of artists - including Whistler and Constable - and discuss how these 'creative quarters' have influenced the wealth of artwork produced in London.
