Break Down at C&A

The former Marble Arch branch of C&A in Oxford Street is a perfect location for Michael Landy's Break Down, an exhibition in which all of Landy's possessions are being systematically broken down, weighed and catalogued. From now until Saturday February 24 (499-523 Oxford Street, London W1, open 10am-6pm, free) you can see the final stages of this exploration into consumerism complete with a dis-assembly line. On Saturday evening Landy will be left with a pile of dust - the remains of his 5,000 possessions - and the clothes he's wearing. There are plans to bury the dust, but no location has been confirmed.
