Beauty FlashA childhood fascination with magazine fashion and beauty spreads led Stephane Marais to ditch his economics course and train as a make-up artist instead. Fast forward 20 years and Stephane has worked with a string of top notch photographers and fashion designers and is one of the world's most respected face painters. During photoshoots and fashion shows over the last 15 years, Stephane has armed himself with his trusty Polaroid camera and his new book, Beauty Flash, (£20, published by Steidl available March from all good bookshops) is packed with close-up snaps of models, including Nadja Auerman and Erin O'Connor, documenting his make-up techniques. |
