Art meets scienceMedical science and art collide in a new exhibition, Growth & Form: Biomedical Images, at the Wellcome Trust's Two10 Gallery (210 Euston Road, London NW1, enquiries 020 7611 7211 from February 22 - May 4). For the first time, winning images from the Biomedical Image Awards 2001 given for recent medical research, will be combined with young contemporary artists' work inspired by biomedicine. The exhibition features Rachel Chapman's Breathe installation of three giant Petri dishes containing living fungal organisms and Mark Wright's Flux paintings inspired by microscopic structures. |
