Go geishaNow that full-on make-up and all things 80s are back in vogue, that decade's obsession with all things Japanese has also returned. So enter the geisha girl look - seen on the catwalks of Michiko Koshino, Christian Dior and Lacroix - based on colourful nature prints, wrap-over jackets and wide sleeves. But don't think you have to do the theme wholesale, including Lancome's theatrical make-up, ceremonial kimonos and wooden clogs. A strip of fabric wrapped several times around the waist and tied at the back like a traditional obi belt, combines the wide belt trend with the geisha girl look. |
