Yves catwalk clonesWas Tom Ford trying to curry favour or set a new trend when he sent Yves Saint Laurent look-a-likes down the YSL menswear catwalk? The Gucci designer, who recently took on the role as men's and women's ready-to-wear designer at YSL, dressed his models in trademark elements of the revered Yves' personal style. The models all looked like Yves in his 60s heyday in slinky suits, wavy hair and thick rimmed tortoise shell spectacles. Unfortunately the veteran designer, who now only works on the YSL couture collections, wasn't there to see the show dedicated to himself earn Ford a standing ovation. |
