Ralph racks offWho owns the name 'Polo'? Apparently Ralph Lauren thought he did, but the fashion designer has been proved wrong. Lauren's lawyers recently threatened to sue Brit Keith Collingridge after discovering that he'd registered www.po-lo.com. However, little guys will be pleased to know that this month, Lauren's daunting legal team has dropped its "bullying" tactics and realised that 'Polo' is not just the name of Lauren's sportswear line, but also the name of a sport, a car and a mint with a hole. If a major fashion corporation accuses you of cybersquatting, you can email Collingridge for some advice. |
