Doggy styleIn her next exhibition, multimedia artist Olivia Brown, has chosen to display her ceramic pooches by recreating a 1960s hairdressing salon. Called 'Elvis the Whippet's Hair Salon', the show at The City Gallery (90 Granby Street, Leicester LE1, enquiries: 0116 254 0595 from February 17 until March 31) will feature ceramic pooches sporting nylon capes and sitting on original 60s salon chairs. Visitors will be greeted at a reception area where they can buy a full range of doggy essentials including soaps, shampoos, hair nets and combs. The grooming area complete with chairs, mirrors and sinks will allow Elvis the Whippet to "work his magic". |
