Eley Kishimoto are a cut aboveEley Kishimoto may soon steal Clements Ribeiro's crown as the Richard and Judy of fashion. The husband and wife team have just been named as the recipients of the autumn/winter 2001 VS Sassoon Award for Cutting Edge Talent. Now, Wakako Kishimoto and Mark Eley, known for their distinctive prints, will be able to present their autumn/winter 2001 collection 'on schedule' at next month's London Fashion Week - thanks to the £25,000 bursary they have been awarded. Other labels Eley Kishimoto have designed textiles for include Louis Vuitton and Mulligan. Previous winners of the title are Emma Cook and Scott Henshall. |
