Sacrilege with styleReligion is a dangerous subject to broach at the best of times, but blasphemy has never been cooler, God damn it. The Royal Academy's recent Apocalypse exhibition showed a model of the pope being crushed by a boulder and this month's Sleazenation features a model wearing a Cradle of Filth T-shirt (emblazed with 'Jesus is a c**t'). It also seems likely that Russell Sage will be the cause of a little Catholic controversy next month. The Brit designer is reportedly using linen from a nunnery to create his autumn/winter 2001 collection which will be shown in February during London Fashion Week. |
