Grange Hill chicA wave of nostalgia is sweeping through fashion. Just look at most designers' take on the 80s - it's more school discos circa 1986 than Chanel Yuppie dressing. Fashion is also revisiting school uniforms, with white shirts, school ties and pleated skirts currently making the fashion grade. In fact the 80s school days trend even has its own nightlife, with School Disco (every Saturday night at Vauxhall High School, 137B Wandsworth Rd SW8, London), where clubbers dress in Grange Hill-type uniforms to dance to 80s hits. Bad breakdancing and snogging to slow songs is heartily encouraged. |
