Tricky T-shirtsBack in the day, tight T-shirts printed to look like a tuxedo and bow tie were worn by nerds who thought they were cool. Then Vivienne Westwood used the trompe l'oeil ('trick of the eye') effect with photos of breasts on T-shirts, which really were cool. Now Jeremy Scott has brought the original - complete with fake dinner jacket, dress shirt and dickie bow - back to the fashion fore. If you can't afford a Scott 3D effect T, check out charity shops for originals, or get creative with fabric paints on a plain white top. |
