Women face upA San Francisco-based group of women is naming and shaming companies which exploit women in their advertising campaigns. About-Face has created a gallery of offenders and in first place is a perfume ad by Madonna's favourite design house, Dolce & Gabbana. Other offenders include Gucci and Simply Palm, a PDA advert featuring a naked woman. If a UK advert offends you, a complaint to the Advertising Standards Authority could make the advertiser think again. Yves Saint Laurent must submit all its UK billboard ads to the ASA for approval following the ruling against its recent Opium campaign. |
