London pastSelected from its archive of 80,000 photographs, the Museum of London's exhibition 'Photographs of London by Henry Grant' (10th January - 4th February 2001) will whisk punters right back to the 50s and 60s. Taken by one of the most distinguished photographers of post-war Britain, the black and white snaps capture Londoners of all ages going about their daily lives. You'll also get an insight into the social upheavals and changes that took place in Britain from post-war austerity to 60s freedom including the beginnings of the NHS, the Welfare State and social campaigns such as CND. |
