Monroe model sweatersMarilyn Monroe - like most 50s starlets - loved a nice tight sweater. She was even known to sew buttons onto her torpedo bras to give the impression of bullet nips. With 50s styles on the brink of making a comeback, tight sweaters have become fashion staples. French label Pablo de Gerard Darel is even selling replicas of a cable knit sweater once owned by Monroe herself - which the company picked up at an auction last year. The limited edition copies cost £45, come in cream, black, raspberry and blue and are available from Gerard Darel, 31 Old Bond Street, London (telephone 020 7495 2688). |
