Portrait of a museAlthough the Marchesa Casati died in 1957, her legacy endures today and she's been an inspiration to artists including Jean Cocteau and Man Ray as well as Dior's recent haute couture collection. Now a one woman show based on her life is coming to London for one night only on 15th January 2001. Scot D. Ryersson and Michael Orlando Yaccarino, authors of the book of the same name, will present the UK premiere of 'Infinite Variety: Portrait of a Muse' at the Italian Cultural Institute (39 Belgrave Square, London SW1, ticket information hotline 020 7235 1461). Actress Elizabeth Shepherd will be playing the legendary Marchesa. |
