Secure designsCentral St Martins students have collaborated with the Design Council to demonstrate that crime-conscious design can be inspiring and desirable. The results will be exhibited in 'Design against Crime' at the Design Museum from 18th December (until 28th January 2001). Included in the show will be Alex Duddek's 'Pantbag' made from a pair of giant Y-fronts which is "so disgusting no one would want to steal from it" and Paul Yuille's 'Sporran-utan', a furry bag which wraps around the waist. Prototype chairs with hooks to help secure bags will also be displayed. |
