What a stinkOver 300 complaints have been registered with advertising watchdog, the Advertising Standards Authority about the Yves Saint Laurent Opium advert featuring a naked Sophie Dahl, making it the most complained about ad this year. When the advert first appeared in glossy mags last October, only three complaints were made and the ASA ruled in favour of the campaign because it only appeared in magazines (and therefore was not on public view). If the ASA finds against the campaign, for the next two years Yves Saint Laurent billboards will be subject to vetting by the ASA. |
