'Vogue' women

Coinciding with the recent publication of Georgina Howell's book, 'Vogue Women' (Pavilion Books, £25, from all good book shops) an exhibition of the same name is being held in the Royal National Theatre's Lyttleton Exhibition Foyer until 13 January 2001. Tracing the "changing role of women and evolving notions of beauty" the exhibition features snaps taken by some of the world's leading lensmen including Cecil Beaton, Norman Parkinson and David Bailey. The photos celebrate the looks and the styles that have appeared on the pages of 'Vogue' since 1916 and include Germaine Greer, Catherine Deneuve and Jerry Hall and Iman.
