Then pop down to the new Rifle store in the soon-to-be-swinging-again Carnaby Street (telephone 020 72874673). Opened earlier this week, the Italian label's new store is full of denim and casualwear designed for "young, intellectually curious and culturally open-minded" people. Rifle founders Giulio and Fiorenzo Fratini were apparently the first to produce jeans in Europe back in 1950.
