Bloody mess

The trend for slasher movies has got so big it's spawned spoofs, and now fashion has jumped in the blood bath too. Arkadius was first up, causing a few queasy tums when he unveiled his blood-stained spring/summer 2000 collection. As part of the customisation trend, fashionistas can be seen strutting the streets in jeans that have been splattered with red paint - looking like they've just committed murder. Meanwhile artist Marc Quinn used eight pints of his own claret to create a vase currently exhibited at White Cube and the latest ad for Sin uses flesh wounds to sell clothing.
