Couture goes cosmicDesigners are always trying to find unusual places to stage their catwalk shows. Car parks, go-karting tracks and East End goods yards have all been used in the past, but Isabell Kristensen has opted for a more outrageous setting - space. The Danish couturier plans to take models nine miles above the earth for her next show. During a recent space flight Kristensen tested the effect of weightlessness on fabrics herself. The designer's models will float around chiffon creations like Jane Fonda in the opening credits of 'Barbarella'. There are also plans to broadcast the first ever zero gravity catwalk show on the web. |
