Fake itIf you find that the pleasure of wearing leather is ruined by guilty feelings towards dead cows, then check out the guide to 'pleather' from PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals). The free booklet, which can be ordered on PETA's Cows are Cool website, lists stockists of stores that sell alternative leather wear. The site dedicated to farm animals also features a rather fetching portrait of actress Alicia Silverstone, clad in Village People inspired synthetic leather and sporting a 'Fake for the Animals' Sake' patch. Fellow cow lovers can also buy the patch for just $6.50. |
