Don't panic - this weekend (1st-3rd December) the Clerkenwell Green Association, a charity which promotes fine craft and design skills, (Pennybank Chambers, 33-35 St John's Square, London EC1 & Cornwell House, 21 Clerkenwell Green, EC1 enquiries 020 7251 0276) hosts an open studio where the public can meet and buy direct from fashion and textile designers, jewellers and ceramicists in their working environments. Designers taking part include Emily Jo Gibbs - who makes evening bags from silk and silver and Jo Hayes - who combines silk and precious metals in her jewellery.
