Fab BabsMove over Princess Anne. You still here Margot 'The Good Life' Leadbetter? Because the latest unlikely person to influence fashion is none other than Barbra Streisand. Look back to her various 60s and 70s film roles and you'll see plenty of similarities with today's trends. Babs was there first with baker's boy caps and tight denim in 'What's Up Doc?' and chunky knits in 'The Way We Were'. Meanwhile Ms Streisand as Fanny Brice in 'Funny Girl' and its sequel 'Funny Lady' has inspired a whole fashion shoot in December's 'The Face'. And it also looks as if old Babs has been influencing Jennifer Aniston and Brad Pitt - the Hollywood couple are dead ringers for Streisand and Robert Redford in 'The Way We Were'! |
