International teams may have abandoned them in favour of more 'modern', sporty polo shirts, but fashion has adopted the traditional cricket sweater. Cast aside thoughts of twee cream teas and the sound of leather on willow on English greens because cricket style is the latest trad look to be plundered by fashion folk. And don't think this one's just for the lads - David Wyatt's 80s gals strutted his spring/summer 2001 catwalk in slouchy over-sized cricket knits which seductively slipped off the shoulder. If your budget won't stretch to designer prices pick up cricket sweaters from sports shops. Give them a catwalk feel and follow Wyatt's lead by teaming them with plenty of pearls.
