First Lady of LomoThe first LomOlymPics - a competition dedicated to a low-tech Russian camera formerly presented to Communist Party faithfuls - has been won by Norwegian Cecilie Owren. Second place goes to British lomographer Kevin Meredith following the gruelling international finals in Tokyo. Contestants were subjected to three days of intense lomographics featuring a 4am start at a fish market and following a '101 Things To Do List' requiring them to lomo 'an insect's view of a dog', 'something very square and round' and 'a fashion victim (extra points for 'Californian look'). Winner Cecilie will next year embark on a LomoWorldTour visiting ten countries documenting her travels with lomographs. |
