Nasty NikeNike's adverts are usually shining examples of well produced pieces of promotion featuring cool people, cool music and cool messages. However, its respected reputation has now come under fire for the third time in the last two months due to the content of its latest campaigns. The company has been slammed by the press and public for making ads offensive to women and disabled people and now it's being branded as a thief. According to singer Billy Paul, Nike have used his record - 'Me and Mrs Jones' - and his voice in a recent TV advert without seeking permission or crediting him in any way. Billy Paul expects Nike, and its advertising agent, to cough up at least $1 million in compensation. |
