Fabric of Fashion Presenting key garments from designers' recent collections together with specially created experimental pieces, the 'Fabric of Fashion' exhibition at the Crafts Council (from 9th November) will show that textile innovation is one of the major driving forces in British fashion today. Featuring the work of 15 designers including Hussein Chalayan, Jessica Ogden, Vexed Generation and Eley Kishimoto, the exhibition will reveal the process behind a garment's production and demonstrate the powerful mix of handicraft and high technology. From Jessica Ogden, whose reputation is built on recycling and manipulating vintage fabrics to Vexed Generation, who use high performance materials like 'ballistic nylon', the exhibition will provide a glimpse at 21st century fashion design.
