Through children's eyes

In 1999, 200 children aged 3-12, from all walks of life across Britain, were given cameras and asked to photograph their world. The aim was to reveal how children view the world they inhabit and the results, which are frank, funny and poignant will be exhibited at Sothebys (34-35 New Bond Street, London W1A 2AA, enquiries 020 7293 5000) from 27th October to 2nd November. This innovative photographic project, through the eyes of a child, was devised by model and mum of two Saffron Aldridge and photographic agent Kevin Kollenda as a means of raising money for the NSPCC's 'Full Stop' campaign to end cruelty to children. High street fashion retailer Jigsaw Junior was so delighted by the children's work, that five kids from the project photographed its winter 2000 advertising campaign. Jigsaw Junior will also be selling a book of the photos and a T-shirt featuring images from the exhibition (for stockist enquiries call 020 8392 5678).
