Tartan army hits LondonWithout a doubt, Scottish actors are in fashion. With 'The Full Monty' star Robert Carlyle playing the villain in the last Bond movie and Dougray Scott (from TV's 'The Crow Road') starring as Tom Cruise's foe in 'Mission Impossible 2', they're also Hollywood's current choice of baddie. Now, until 1st October, the National Portrait Gallery (St Martin's Place, London WC2, telephone 020 7306 0055) has an exhibition featuring photos of contemporary Scottish film actors. 'The Tartan Army' exhibition, by photographer Donald MacLellan, includes portraits of Ewan McGregor, Kelly MacDonald, Tilda Swinton, Robert Carlyle, Dougray Scott and Alan Cumming. Admission is free. |
