Cruelty-free fashion

From 19 - 21 May The National Anti-Vivisection Society is hosting 'Animal + World 2000' at the Novotel Exhibtion Centre (Hammersmith Rd, London W6, telephone: 020 8741 1555) which includes twice daily cruelty-free fashion shows. Outfits for the catwalk show are designed by Geoff Slack, who has designed for Shola Ama and Mark Morrison and believes that "the fashion industry needs to be challenged about its current obsession with animal skins". Selected garments from the show will be auctioned during 'Animal + World 2000'. Models from the new Models with Conscience agency, which will only supply models to cruelty-free events and shoots, will be strutting the catwalk. Visit the 'Animal + World 2000' website for more details.
